1.     Rita Owens spoke in the spirit of Provost GarzaÕs call for expansion of the use of technology for student/faculty interaction.   In her Ppt presentation:  what other schools are doing;  examples from other institutions as well as IDeT capabilities;  call for some projects to develop by Òaffinity groupsÓ,  programs, schools, etc.

2.  Yearly password change.  New policy.  Last forced change in 2003. 

 

Barry Schaudt, announcing the policy, looks for ÒreasonablenessÓ concerns.  FTCs asked to poll colleagues.

 ITC proposes to: Expire the password on each birthday; expect employees to change password one month (30 days) before birthday;  reminders sent 30 days and 7 days prior to birthday;  if the password expires, reset in the same manner as if forgotten:

 

                        Online Reset:  Click ÒForgot PasswordÓ or ÒTrouble Logging InÓ, and follow the prompts OR

                        By phone: Call BC Help Center at 617-552-HELP.  Password reset available 24/7 through HELP Center.

 

 

3.  LMS Selection Process (stakeholder vetting) Dates for the Spring – Tuesday, January 29 will be our usual meeting in 2125 Commonwealth Avenue

 

VENDOR DEMONSTRATIONS

These sessions are scheduled as follows:

 

Thursday, January 31st from 4:30 - 7:00 pm (dinner will be served); or

Friday, February 1st from 9:30 am - noon (breakfast will be served)
