RePEc documentation: Updating IDEAS

IDEAS generation lives in account adrepec on crefe.dse.uqam.ca at
</usagers/ftp/pub/RePEc/local/soft/new>. 

The update is launched by a crontab job:
</usagers/ftp/pub/RePEc/local/soft/new/ideas>
It launches various scripts:
edirc to get EDIRC updated
remi to get the mirroring of RePEc data going
a backup copy of RePEc:all
hopec2rech.pl generates a correspondence table between HoPEc authors 
              and their works. WoPEc/BibEc also uses this table
update.pl determines which items to update, bases on remi logs and 
          31 day update schedule
repe.pl builds the authors CVs
reid.pl builds the other IDEAS pages
reit.pl builds isolated item pages
crosshandle.pl builds a correspondence table of items using *-Handle:

Finally the data is transfered to the web site (host: 
www.unites.uqam.ca, username: zimmermann, </export/home/repec/>).

To force the update of a HoPEc CV at the next update: put date string 
(i.e. 744914) to 0 in </usagers/ftp/pub/RePEc/local/soft/new/redif-person.lst>.
To force the update of a series at the next update: put date string to 0 in 
</usagers/ftp/pub/RePEc/local/soft/new/redif-series.lst>.
To update a list of items (papers, artciles...), put their handles in
</usagers/ftp/pub/RePEc/local/soft/new/redif-item.upd> and run reit.pl. 
Then copy contents of </tmp/data> to website (or wait for next nightly update)
