These facilities are two-bedroom apartments with bath (with some four-bedroom/two-bath suites available for family groups). Each bedroom has two beds, and is suitable for either single or double occupancy.

• Family accommodations are available at $105.00 per family per night for up to four bedrooms (eight beds), for immediate families only

Check-in instructions for those staying on campus

For those of you arriving by the MBTA Green Line, cross the street from the Boston College station and continue along the road going past the FRONT of the church. Take your first right into the parking lot, and keeping along the sidewalk to the right, walk about 100 yards until you get to 90 St. Thomas More, the tall building on the right. There should be CEF'99 signs directing your travel.

Please keep in mind that the MBTA does not provide service past midnight. If you travel by taxi, ask to be taken to the 'Boston College Green Line T stop on Comm Ave' (and make sure that the driver understands it's Boston College, not Boston University, which is located on the same street and the same transit line).

For those driving and parking in the Comm. Ave. parking garage, after you leave your car, take the elevator or stairs to the ground floor and walk to your left along the sidewalk to 90 St. Thomas More, the tall building on your left. Again, there should be CEF'99 signs directing your travel. Please be advised that major construction is being planned for the area of the surface parking lot by St. Ignatius Church leading into the road to the parking garage. This lot will not be available for parking during the conference, but there will be plenty of room in the parking garage, and the road to the garage will remain passable.

Parking is permissible in the Commonwealth Avenue parking garage, the Beacon Street parking garage, and in neighboring surface lots, where available. CEF'99 signs will be posted leading you from the main gate on Commonwealth Avenue to the entrance by the St. Ignatius Church lot and the Comm. Ave. parking garage. There is a small lot directly adjacent to the church where parking is not allowed due to construction. See the approach map for the layout of the campus.

To travel to Middle Campus from the Lower Campus residence halls or the Comm. Ave. parking garage (see campus map), you may either follow the stairs alongside the garage or take the elevator near the garage entrance to the top floor. In either case you will end up on O'Neill Plaza, a broad open space adjacent to O'Neill Library. Walk across the plaza and the quadrangle. Fulton Hall, conference headquarters, is on the far side of the quadrangle, past Devlin Hall, which has the Art Museum banner. Enter Fulton Hall and walk through the building, descending the stairs to the Atrium. Registration will be off the Atrium. Note also that the Plenary Sessions (including the Thursday morning welcome and announcements) will be held in Devlin Hall; enter under the Art Museum banner facing O'Neill Plaza.

You may also travel through the O'Neill Library atrium (the doors at the center of the building, not the library entrance) down one flight to the Student Learning and Support Center, O'Neill 250, where internet access will be available. If you continue to the foot of the atrium stairs, you may enter the Comm. Ave. parking garage and proceed to the ground floor by elevator or stairs.

There are very few hotel/motel accommodations close to the Boston College campus, which is situated in an upper-class suburban neighborhood just west of Boston. In most cases, one would need to allow 30-45 min. for public transport or have an automobile to make use of these alternative lodgings. Accommodations in the Boston area are quite expensive.
