Using the data in Stata

Stata/SE format (access over the web):

. use http://econ.bc.edu/scf/92/scf92x.dta
Stata/SE is available on the Unix systems econ.bc.edu, ecsa200.bc.edu, and goanna.bc.edu, and may be acquired for desktop systems. You need at least 330 Mb RAM to work with this file, since it is 325 Mb on disk (4,159 variables, 19,530 observations).. You may use Stata/SE or Stat/Transfer on one of the Unix systems to create a subset file that may be used with standard (Intercooled) Stata, and will require much less RAM.

Using the data in SAS

The downloadable SAS version is accessible from scf92x.xpt.gz, (15Mb, gzipped SAS Transport file).
