The latest addition to the department's roster of Ph.D.s is Francesco Zanetti, a native of Italy, who defended on August 27. He wrote on "Non-Walrasian Labor Markets, Business Cycles, and Monetary and Fiscal Policies," advised by Prof. Peter Ireland. Zanetti will join the Bank of England as an economist (along with classmate Petronilla Nicoletti and Ozlem Sayinta (Ph.D., 2003) in mid-October after visiting the European Central Bank.
