<font size="-1">The latest addition to the department's roster of Ph.D.s is Tairi Room,
who defended her dissertation on February 18. Room, a native of Estonia, wrote on "Essays on Labor Markets and Empirical Finance" under the direction
of 
Prof. Peter Ireland. She is employed at the Bank of Estonia. Our congratulations to Dr. Room.</font></p>
