The latest addition to the department's roster of Ph.D.s is Chen-Yu Pan, a native of Taiwan, who defended his dissertation on 6 June. He wrote "Essays on Public Economics and Political Economy," advised by Prof. Hideo Konishi. He has accepted a tenure-track position as assistant professor at Wuhan University.
