&nbsp;<h2><i>Markusen speaks on globalization issues</i></h2>

One of the Economics Ph.D. program's most notable alumni, Prof. James Markusen of the
University of Colorado at Boulder, will speak on "The Globalization Debate:  Rhetoric and Reality". 
This public lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 23, at 4:00 P.M. in Fulton Hall 511 on the Chestnut Hill campus.
Prof. Markusen received his B.A. from Boston College in 1970 and earned the Ph.D. in 1973, advised by Prof. James E. Anderson. 
He
is a specialist in international trade theory, an associate editor of the <i>Journal
of International Economics</i>, and has published numerous articles in the profession's
most respected journals.
