U.S. Tariff Policy highlighted in upcoming lecture

Ed Gresser of the Progressive Policy Institute will "U.S. Tariff Policy: Why it hits Roxbury and Phnom Penh hardest, and how to fix it." on Tuesday, March 18. This event, the latest in the Globalization and Inequality Series of lectures, will be held from 4:30-6:00 PM in Devlin Hall room 008.

Gresser joined the Progressive Policy Institute after serving in the Clinton Administration and, earlier, as a senior Congressional staffer. As Policy Advisor to U.S. Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky, he was the USTR's principal policy advisor, speechwriter and research aide. Generally, he is supportive of open markets and free trade. Gresser's talk will be followed by comments from Profs. Istvan Konya (Economics) and Charlie Derber (Sociology).
