Boston College Faculty Elections     2012-2013


The Provost's Advisory Council (PAC) advises the Provost and Dean of Faculties on issues of major importance to the faculty and academic operations of Boston College. The council consists of two members from each division in Arts and Sciences and two members from Education, Law, Management, Advancing Studies, Social Work, Nursing, and Theology & Ministry. No more than one member may represent an A&S department. Beginning this year, service is for a three-year term. Meetings are held three times per semester, usually on Thursday mornings.

To be elected from the entire faculty:
Two representatives from A&S Humanities
Two representatives from A&S Social Sciences and History
Two representatives from LSOE
Two representatives from Law School
One representative from GSSW
One representative from CSOM

Each slate to be elected by the voters from that school.
Voters from each A&S division may select from the A&S nominees.
Voters from professional schools may select from their school's nominees.
