The Faculty Hearing Committee is responsible for conducting hearings in cases
involving the dismissal of a faculty member. The Hearing Committee consists
of eleven members and eleven alternates. One member and one alternate each
are elected by the faculties of the Lynch School of Education, Law School, Carroll
School of Management, Connell School of Nursing, and Graduate School of Social
Work. Six members and six alternates are elected by the faculty of the
College of Arts and Sciences. (See Chapter II, Section 11-B-1 and Section
12-A of the University Statutes for further detail.) Service is for the calendar year.
