Exercise:

Using LED cell matrices of the type supplied below, (the so-called 'British' pattern)
  1. Provide in sequence patterns for the numerals 0 through 9.
  2. Provide and label some alternative patterns that might be used.
  3. Indicate what remaining combinations are possible where all 'strips' must be contiguous, i.e. touch at least one other strip?
  4. Be prepared to discuss the aesthetics of the numerals so produced. Could anything be done to improve their appearance?
