{cmd:circxlowess} carries out smoothing (including lowess) of a {it:y}
variable {it:yvar} (specified first in the {it:varlist}) with respect to some
circular {it:x} variable {it:xvar}. {it:xvar} should take on values between
0 and 360 degrees. Smoothing is done by temporarily adding pads of repeated
values at either end of the circular scale. 

{p 4 4 2}The kind and degree of smoothing and the rendition of the display 
are specified by invoking options of {cmd:lowess}.

{p 4 8 2}{cmd:pad(}{it:#}{cmd:)} specifies a pad of {it:#} degrees at each {it:x} 
axis end. Data less than or equal to {it:#} degrees are copied at the right end of 
the {it:x} axis  for an interval of 360 to {bind:360 + {it:#}} degrees. 
Data more than {bind:360 - {it:#}} degrees are copied at the left end of the 
{it:x} axis for an interval of -{it:#} to 0 degrees. The default is 180, so 
that a full two cycles are shown.

{help lowess}.
