Multiple unidimensional scores of item-specific deprivation (measured on the [0,1] space) are linearly combined to create, for each observation, a synthetic measure of individual deprivation. The synthetic measure is a weighted sum of item-specific deprivation. Several alternative weighting rules can be selected. {pstd} Individual scores are aggregated to produce summary measure of deprivation in the sample. {pstd} Details on methods, option descriptions and usage examples are available in an {browse "http://medim.ceps.lu/stata/mdepriv_v3.pdf":online manual}. {title:Authors} {pstd} Maria Noel Pi Alperin, Philippe Van Kerm CEPS/INSTEAD, Luxembourg philippe.vankerm@ceps.lu {* Version 2.0.0 2014-03-14} {* Version 1.1.0 2011-05-10} {* Version 1.0.5 2009-02-04}
