Seminar on Economic Policy in Berlin and Istanbul offered this summer

This summer, the economics department's course offerings will include an economics elective in Berlin, Germany and Istanbul, Turkey. The course, EC388: Economic Policy Analysis in Turbulent Times: Europe and Turkey is offered through the university's Office of International Programs (OIP). It is cross-listed as IN 388 for students in the International Studies program. The four-credit-hour seminar will be held over a four-week period, starting in Commencement week, and will feature presentations by economic researchers combined with lectures on economic policy analysis, as well as numerous cultural events in both Berlin and Istanbul. The course will be co-taught by Prof. Christopher F Baum and Adj. Assoc. Prof. Can Erbil. Prof. Baum offered a summer course in Berlin in 2011-2013, and Prof. Erbil has been taking groups of Brandeis business school students to Turkey for several years. Enrollment to the seminar is now closed.
